Ok so this post has two topics I want to cover: The Sushi Train Mitch and I went to the other day, and whether or not i should buy Coldplay tickets.
Sushi Train:

So on Wednesday night Mitch and I went to a Sushi train to eat sushi an discuss what we’re gonna do with these blogs etc. (We have a grand plan). Now i’d never been to a sushi train, and im an extremely fussy eater, but ive gotta get over it before i go to Japan! So… i tried new things, one of which i didn’t like, one of which i did.
So i thought i’d play it safe with my first sushi, just got a chicken and avocado one. It was good! but yeah that was to be expected really…
Second sushi thingo i got was a raw salmon one. Now i’ve NEVER eaten raw fish, and yes, I know how that’s ridiculous on so many levels. But i tried it! and liked it! Not as much flavour but it wasn’t bad at all. The texture was a bit funny but yeah, it was pretty ok.
Then Mitch forced me into eating this stuff that wasn’t so cool. And yes, FORCED me… It was like this deep fried fish maybe? Like it was really thin, tasted a bit like the outside of a potato scallop. Yeah on a bundle of rice just to keep it sushi themed. Now the fish wasn’t all tha great, but it was ok… like i could eat it. Now the other funny thing about me is I DON’T LIKE MAYONAISE! Ok not that big a deal here in Australia, but the Japanese are notorious for putting mayo on EVERYTHING. Piece of toast? MAYO! Steak? MAYO! Bowl of cereal? MAYOOOO! So if you catch my drift (need more examples?), you can see how i’m also gonna be screwed on the mayo front whilst in Japan. Mitch thought he’d have a stab at me by saying that i’l be living off vending machine food the whole stay…
So yeah overall the sushi train was pretty cool, i mean it was my most adventurous night of my life in terms of food. And it was really productive too, got a lot of planning done.
Coldplay:

Ok… Tickets are 140 bux, and if i go, i’m gonna bring my girl. So do i fork out $280??? Here’s my arguements:
To Go:
- Coldplay are one of my favourite bands
- When are they gonna be back? could be ages right? if ever!!
- I have the money
- My girl’s never been to a rock concert before (i use the term rock lightly)
- I owe my mum money, which I planned on having completely paid off in January, however the payments technically arent due till january 2010, So i could just push back my payments to mum 2 weeks…
Not To Go:
- I owe my mum a lot of cash which i’m saving up to pay her back
- $280 = 2 hours of entertainment (Sure it’s Coldplay, but seriously, value for money here???)
- I’m already going to see Serj Tankian and the Fantomas in January
So… choices choices… i really wanna pay off my mum… but… i can pay her off in February instead of January or something.. Whereas Coldplay are doing 2 shows in Brisbane then leaving and not coming back for ages if at all! And i gotta be quick so i can get a ticket…
AAAAAAAAARGGHH my brain!
UPDATE: Tickets have been purchased, Coldplay it is! Heh and Mitch is comin
Ciao for Now!

2 hours = 280 bucks? not so bad! I forked out 90 bucks for bungee jumping which took 10 minutes and another 30 bucks for a 3 minute ride on some slingshot thing.
It’s all about the experience and Coldplay kicks ass soo you should totally go.
Well… if there are still tickets in January i’ll go
