Ok so overseas peoples probably won’t know what “Centrelink” is.  So i’ll fill you in (without researching – mistakes may be present).

Centrelink Logo

Centrelink is runned by the Australian Government (i think), they pretty much support people.  They’re kinda like a welfare thing but they do everything.  They supply extra money to students, families, pensioners, the disabled and other people in need.  They also help people gain employment.  They also help… students… who get thrown out of home… 6 months before leaving for a student exchange to Kansai Gaidai, Japan and needs to save all the money they can get… That’s what Centrelink does.  So whilst I’m in Japan I will continue to get payments from them (since i wont be earning money).  This is great news!  Gonna make life easy.  In fact, I’m getting a $500 back payment from them on Monday because they prolonged my application process by 8 weeks.

WOOT! (new line, one word technique blatantly stolen from Alec’s blog)

Sounds cool right?  Well me and the Australian government havent always been tight.  I hate it, and it hates me.  For example: lately there have been huge payouts from the Government/Centrelink and the Taxation Office.  3 Big payouts with a total of approx.$3000.  OF WHICH I RECIEVED NOTHING.  I watched all my mates racking in this free dough and I didn’t even get a crumb of the pie.  NOT COOL.

There have always been technicalities stopping me from not recieving payments, for example, i started my Centrelink claim 4 days after an arbitrary date, which therefore doesn’t qualify me for $900.  ZOMGWTFWHYSOGAY??

I even once had to turn down a Game Programmer position in Melbourne because they wouldnt give me assistance.  Why? BECAUSE I DIDN’T EARN ENOUGH MONEY! WHAAAT???? If I earned MORE money, they would give me money, but because I didn’t earn enough they wouldn’t give it to me.  Because I didn’t earn enough money, they based my income on my Mothers income – which was TOO much money! EVEN if I was living in my own apartment, supporting myself, in a different state, they would still base my income off my mothers.  Retarded.

So me and Centrelink were never tight.  They gipped me everychance they got.  But I finally got them this time!  AFter 2 months mucking around, but I got it…. And I’m happy… because I’ll be supported in Japan.. Centrelink will pay me approximately $250 a fortnight in Japan, ON TOP of my JASSO scholarship of ¥80,000  (currently $1,100 AUD) so yeah… loaded… loaded to the MaxOrz .

Things are looking up… finally.

Ciao for Now!

I don’t know, putting a picture of a kid with down syndrome on your blog and publicly labelling him a retard isn’t very nice, almost as bad as all the google ads.
Also, Centrelink doesn’t pay 400 a fortnight. It’s 244.40 unless you’re able to score Rent Assistance, which is something I should probably look into.

Damn you Aussie!

ahh mitch…

down syndrome comment = silly, you’re sense of humour is better than that…

however,

incorrect centrelink amount = constructive. Amount fixed!
