Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5

The next day was fun.  Frank found out that there were some markets nearby, so we decided to check them out.  I was actually really tired at this time.  Was kinda thinkin to myself “How the hell am I gonna stay AWAKE through this day???”

Then my answer came to me in Potion form.  A “WAKEY POTION”!  Yeah! I found this at a 7-11, a drink, called Wakey Potion.  I was a bit hesitant at first, but then I noticed that the packaging suggested that I “Take my Chance” and that it promised me “+5 Hours”.  Well in that case….  I grabbed me a wakey potion, and drank it.  Awesome.  I wonder if I get a 29 hour day now…

Anyway, Markets! We hopped on a train, Frank led the way and eventually we found them. Most of the stuff on display were kinda similar.  The markets were set up on the sidewalk of a bunch of streets.  There wasn’t a marketplace, per say, but the locals sure turned these streets into one.  There was ridiculously cheap stuff everywhere.  Clothes, souvenirs, what seemed to be stolen electronics (or so I claim) and food.  Speaking of food. OMG. I saw Jesus in food form.

For an entire dollar, I got 2 slices of toast, buttered, with cinamon and an omelette filled with vegetables shoved into a cup and handed to me.  It was the most amazing bit of street food i’d ever seen/tasted.

So yeah, a few photo’s from the Markets:

After the markets, I have no idea where we went but we found this river kinda of thing in this city, which looked cool.  So check out some snaps.

Then we moved on, jumped on a train headed to a district that was recommended to us as party central.  Buut… we kinda took a nap on the way:

Soon we reached this place.  Only to find that it didn’t live up to its hype, however there were a lot of places around.  So we walked around, got mauled by this guy:

Then began discussion on where to go, what to do.  We quickly agreed on finding booze and jumped into this cool lookin joint.  There we got some food (garlic chicken, Kimchi) and HUGE BEERS!!!

We drank, we talked, we laughed, and Frank slept:

After that place we wandered the streets a bit more, looking for a place to go… Then we stumbled on the “SEXY BAR”!!!  We moved, as one, towards the Sexy Bar.  We descended a stair case to be confronted by a black, opaque tinted door.  This… is… awkward.  Chris opened the door, inside was a girl in a bikini walking around.  She yelled a hello and we immediately closed the door in shock.  Discussion began as to whether or not we should go in, Haruna was quite reluctant.  Buuut, we went in.  Sat down at a table, and the “Sexy” Korean girl stood across from us and fetched our overpriced beers.  $12 for a Corona! Talk about payin out the ass… But I guess we were also paying for that chick to not have clothes on, dunno, it was strange.  However, the girl was really nice, she spoke good english, and we all began chatting away and cracking jokes and had a lovely time.  Mike got a bit attached to her after a few drinks (ya, he bought more than 1 beer! I hear his wallet crying), but it was all good.  Haruna quickly warmed up to the occasion and looked as though she was having a bit of fun too.

After the Sexy Bar we went to another nearby bar that promised “Flair, Exciting and Zoo”.  Oh good, ZOO!  We went in, it was quiet, but cozy. We had a drink or two, Chris and Mike were playing some darts, Haruna met some Korean dude who spoke Japanese so they were chatting away…  Frank and I were talking and decided that we’d go exploring.  So we left the bar and we ran into a group of Korean people, who looked like they’d just come out of a club, and one dude was wasted.  We started talking to them and they told us to take a Taxi to “Yeoksam” Station and go to “Heaven”.  I didn’t actually realise you could take a taxi to Heaven, nor did I realise there was a train station near it, but Frank and I (reluctantly coz they seemed a bit dodgy) went there anyway.

The taxi ride was like 25 minutes long, and we paid a ridiculous $4.50 for the ride.  LOL!  Taxi’s in Korea are soooo cheap!!!! Oh not to mention the taxi driver’s are absolutely INSANE!  They’re all over the road!

Sure enough, there was a big club called Heaven, with a bunch of people out the front.  Frank and I went downstairs and got to the entrance.  We asked how much the cover charge was: $30.  … … … $30, really?  At 4:30am? With the potential of being kicked out in a couple hours?  Naaaah… Hometime.

We took another taxi back to Bong’s, 45 minute ride, which cost quite a bit of money, I mean Frank and I had to split a entire $9.40 or something.  </sarcasm> Awesome.  Once we got home (5:15am), I crashed.

Till next time…

Looks nice. Korea would probably be my second choice if I wasn’t going to Japan :)

One of my best friends is from Yeoksam. It is where all of the super amazing buildings are (alongside Gangnam-gu).

First time visitor. I enjoyed reading this post and I am hungry now since seeing that breakfast cup. Korea has ALWAYS been a special place and I would love to visit there.
